According to Hits Daily Double; Apple Music revealed that Sean Combs’ Bad Boy doc would premiere on the service. The Live Nation Productions documentary Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story will be available to watch on Apple Music on 6/25. Combs and Heather Parry produced the film, which premieres tonight at the Beacon as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.  Daniel Kaufman directed; Live Nation chief Michael Rapino, Andre Harrell and Alex Avant are the executive producers. The film traces the label’s rise from its birth in Harlem and Brooklyn, explores the murder of Biggie Smalls and celebrates Bad Boy’s influence in shaping music, fashion, marketing and culture. “As partners on both the hugely successful Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour [in 2016] and this documentary, Live Nation is proud to bring Puffy’s vision to life,” said Rapino, CEO and President, Live Nation Entertainment. The fact that Diddy is a producer, makes me question how good this documentary will be. If this doc is anything like Puff Daddy’s “Behind The Music”, it’s will come short of the best doc of the decade. Diddy is always guarded with his message and brand and have yet to give us the true Diddy and his story raw.

With Apple Music on board, we will now be able to share this unique story about the power of live music with the world.” In a sit-down interview with Bloomberg, Iovine repeated the Apple Music mantra: “A music service needs to be more than a bunch of songs and a few playlists. I’m trying to help Apple Music be an overall movement in popular culture, everything from unsigned bands to video. We have a lot of plans.”

To be fair, This last quote by Jimmy Iovine made about being more than a bunch of songs is Tidal’s mission statement! This is exactly what Tidal does ! The docs, live concerts and show casing independent and unsigned artist on their platform is what sets Tidal apart from all the other music services. This got to be frustrating to Jay Z, to watch another company take credit for what you brought to the market while you’re struggling to gain market share. I’m looking forward to Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. From what it sounds like, Can’t Stop is going to be a 2017 versions of Jay Z’s Doc ” Fade To Black “. Damn Hov! they just keep riding your  wave.

Check out my story on how I first met Puff Daddy on the video below. I kinda got myself in a pickle meeting Diddy. LOL
