FINALLY SOMEBODY READ MY YOUTUBE COMMENTS AND GAVE ME SOME REAL R&B! Either that, or one these brothers told the A&R dude to shut the f’ck up with his wack ass suggestions and let them do them for a change.
Can you blame them? For a long time R&B been lead down the wrong path in doing trap beats, damn near sounding like rappers and being unsuccessful at it. Don’t get me wrong, I like trap music but I want my R&B to be R&B and my rap to be rap. “I Think Of You” is a breath of fresh air from Jeremiah and Chris Brown. They finally remember why they do what they do and most importantly What they do.
I loved this song instantly. It got that bounce, summer feeling and it just feels good. Lyrically it’s sentimental just like a true R&B song should be. I heard this song for the first time ever in my car and it came out in April! It’s 2 days before June and As usual, another case of Urban radio not supporting R&B/ Soul music or just jumping on a great song early. When you press them for reasons of why they are not playing great songs like this, they turn around and blame it on the consumer. They have the nerve to say we don’t want to hear that type music. I don’t know how is that possible when Urban radio don’t give us a chance to hear it. I’m not going to even hold my breath to hear it again. Meanwhile cats like Bruno Mars and The Weeknd is successful as hell doing this type of music on Top40 radio. Go Figure. I don’t know if they are trying to bring R&B back, but it’s a good start.
Check it out and share this since Urban Radio won’t.
